At first glance, the top panel looks much darker than the bottom panel.
Most people choose the top one immediately.
And honestly, that answer feels completely right.
The upper shape seems to sit in shadow.
The lower shape seems to catch more light.
Our brain quickly compares the two areas and decides they must be different colors.
