Today, we have a fun challenge.
It is a simple game for your eyes and mind.
Look at the image at the top.
You see a horse.
The horse is very friendly and happy.
But it has a problem.
It is wearing a halter.
A long rope is attached to the halter.
The rope goes down into a messy pile.
The rope is black and very long.
It twists and turns.
It makes many loops.
It goes over and under itself many times.
It looks like a big bowl of spaghetti!
Now, look at the bottom of the image.
You see four wooden logs.
They are sticking out of the ground.
Each log has a number.
The numbers are in red circles.
You can see number 1.
You can see number 2.
You can see number 3.
You can see number 4.
At the very end of the black rope, there is a loop.
This loop is tied around one of these logs.
But which one?
That is the question!
It is easy to get confused.
If you just glance at it, you might guess wrong.
The rope tries to trick you.
It goes left, then it goes right.
It circles around and back again.
It is a true rope maze.
So, how can you solve this?
You need to use your critical thinking.
You need to be patient.
Do not hurry.
Don’t just guess a number.
You can use your finger as a tool.
Put your finger on the rope near the horse’s head.
Then, slowly move your finger along the rope.
Follow every twist.
Follow every turn.
Be careful at the cross points.
Where does the rope really go?
Keep following it all the way down.
Keep going until you reach the logs.
Where does your finger stop?
Or you can try to work backward.
Start at log number 1 and trace up.
Then start at log number 2 and trace up.
Do the same for log number 3 and log number 4.
Only one of these logs connects to the horse.
This puzzle is not about being fast.
It is about being correct.
It is about training your brain to see clearly.
It is a great exercise for kids and adults.
