So, take a close look at this main picture.

What do you see first?
A duck, right?
But something is very, very wrong with this picture.
The poor duck is missing something super important.
Can you see what it is?
That’s right! Its head is completely gone!
Where the head should be, there is just a simple dotted outline.
The Clues
It looks like we are in charge of finding the correct replacement!
The duck’s body is already here, resting on a small wooden log.
Notice the beautiful feathers on its body: it has a mix of brown, grey, and white.
See the bright green patch on its wing?
And those very distinct orange feet?
These details are key to solving the mystery.
We cannot just put any head on it.
We need to find the one head that truly belongs to this body.
The Candidates
We are in luck, because we have four choices to pick from.
Look at the bottom of the picture. There are four different duck heads, labeled A, B, C, and D.
Each head is a candidate, but only one is the right fit.
Let’s examine our options.
Head A has a vibrant, glossy green head.
It also has a very white collar at the base of its neck.
And its beak is bright yellow.
This looks very sharp. But is it this duck’s head?
Head B is entirely white.
Its beak is bright orange, similar to the duck’s feet.
A white-headed duck is a very common type.
But when you look at the body, is that the look we are going for?
Think about how colors work together.
Now, look at Head C. Wow!
This one is really fancy and colorful.
It has stripes of white, black, and orange all over its face.
And the eye is an interesting red color.
It looks like a more rare or exotic type of duck.
Does this complex pattern match the body’s more classic feather look?
Finally, we have Head D.
This head is covered in mottled brown feathers, with small black flecks.
Its beak has patches of orange, black, and yellow.
It looks like a very natural camouflage pattern.
Does this brown blend in with the main body, or is it too subtle?
The Big Decision
Now the tough part begins.
Look from the main body, on its little log, to the four heads below.
Compare everything.
Don’t just think about what head you like best.
Think about which head completes the full, natural bird.
Imagine putting each head onto the neck on the body.
Which one looks like it was always meant to be there?
Think about common water birds you have seen before.
This is a very specific type of duck.
Your Turn!
So, which one is it?
Take your time. There is no rush.
Is it Head A, B, C, or D?
Choose the option you believe with your heart.
Lock in your answer!
When you have made your final decision, let me know.
Good luck!
