A single dad from Sacramento, California got a free car from a non-profit organization after they found out he had been biking to work for the past six months.
Isaac Taylor, who takes care of his two young daughters full-time, had no choice but to bike 16 miles to work every day after their car was lost in an accident.
He even had to walk his children to school after his shift. Taylor and his family have experienced homelessness in the past, which is why he didn’t mind the long bike rides.
However, his hard work paid off when a non-profit called Family Promise, which had helped him before, nominated him for a car.
Travelers Insurance donated a refurbished 2019 Hyundai Elantra through the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides Program.
Taylor and his family were overjoyed when they received the car, and he couldn’t wait to surprise his daughter by picking her up from school in their new vehicle.
