There is a woman named Ann Glancy who is old and sick. She can’t clean her house or yard because of her health problems. Her property looks abandoned. She has enough money to live on, but it’s not enough to fix her house.
Luckily, her neighbors are kind and generous. They decided to collect money and fix her house. At first, she said no, but then she got a big fine and had to agree. The neighbors worked together to fix the house. It was hard sometimes, but working as a group made it easier and more fun. They finished the repairs in one weekend.
When Ann saw her house, she couldn’t believe it. It looked completely different. They fixed the porch and windows and used new boards. Everyone was amazed by the results.
If Ann had done the repairs herself, it would have cost her $10,000. But thanks to her kind neighbors, she doesn’t have to worry about anything now.
