A linguistics professor was lecturing to his English class one day.
“In English,” he said, “A double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative.
However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative.”

A voice from the back of the room piped up, “Yeah, right.”
Little Johnny left his mother’s broom on the back porch.
One afternoon L. Johnny was playing outdoors. He used his mother’s broom as a horse and had a wonderful time until it was getting dark. He left the broom on the back porch.
His mother was cleaning up the kitchen when she realized that her broom was missing.
She asked Johhny: “Where is my broom”
“It’s on the back porch, mom” he replied
“Please go get it”
“No mom, I am afraid of the dark”
His mother smiled and said ‘The Lord is out there too, don’t be afraid.
